Sergeant Evan J. Castillo
Reflections on this veteran's military serviceSubmitted by Aaron Castillo
Evan has always wanted to be in the military since he was a child. In 2010, he fulfilled his dream, and joined the military. He received his training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, home to the Military Police Regiments, and has been a military policeman since entering the service. He did an 11-month tour in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in 2016 - 2017, where he was awarded Sergeant. Evan is still in the Reserves, reporting to the Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos, CA, and will be discharged in summer 2018. He has served this great nation proud and loved serving his country. Because of people like him, we can all sleep at night. God bless America, USA.
My son, Evan Castillo, grew up in Lakewood since he was 2-1/2 years old. Our family has lived here for going on 25 years. Evan attended Holmes Elementary, Hoover Middle School, and graduated from Lakewood High School, where he played water polo for four years. Evan and his wife just celebrated their two-year anniversary. (Posted 2018) |
